For the third consecutive year, the ChampionChip microchip was used to accurately record and add the time it to a computer database. Approximately 3000 runners from around the world converged onto Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, for the fourth annual Air Force Marathon on September 16, 2000. Starting and ending amid legendary aircraft at the Air Force Museum, the course led runners throughout the scenic base. The fastest unofficial time was 2:26:30 Christopher L. Summary
The 8th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. 2.5k run or walk kicks off at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Jan. 16, 2016. The Youth and Teen Center started this event in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and to provide residents another opportunity to be active within the community.
