The Command Sergeant Major of the Army Reserve CSM
Summary
The Command Sergeant Major of the Army Reserve CSM Ted L. Copeland visited Fort McCoy NCO Academy on July 12, 2017. He hosted a town hall meeting where he assured everyone that his vision and the vision of LTG Luckey aligns. CSM Copeland’s message reinforced to the students of BLC, staff members and visitors that you have to take charge and lead to be a good NCO. He also stated that in order to be ready for our adversaries, we must be able to train. His statement reminds us that classroom environments alone do not get our military ready to directly face our enemies. We must practice what we learn in the classroom in combat speed to be combat ready. The event allowed Soldiers to ask CSM Copeland questions and get a better understanding about the future of the Army Reserves.
