U.S. Air Force Major Bryon Shields, 21st Airlift Squadron pilot, works with a member of the Mexican army to transfer boxesf infant hygiene supplies from a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III to a supply truck Sept. 22 at Ixetepec Airport, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the request of Mexican civil authorities, the C-17 and its six-member crew from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., assisted U.S. efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Mexico by airlifting over 31,000 pounds of hygiene and medical supplies to the area after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Mexico City Sept. 19.
