description

Summary

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Josh Vesecky, right, and James Piedimonte, both aerospace propulsion mechanics with the 442d Maintenance Squadron propulsion flight complete a time compliance technical order during a phase inspection on an A-10 Thunderbolt II at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Aug. 22, 2019. During the process, the Airmen removed the lube and scavenger pump from the TF-34 engine. The pump circulates oil to lubricate the moving parts and keeps the engine clean, cool and corrosion free.
