U.S. Army Col. Tim Cleveland, one of the co-directors for Rapid Trident 2019 (RT19) and Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine Advisor, and Ukraine Col. Olksandr Zhakun, the other co-director for RT19 and deputy commander of the operational command West, salute soldiers from participating countries during the RT19 opening ceremony, Sept. 16, 2019, at the International Peacekeeping Security Centre near Yavoriv, Ukraine. RT19 is an annual, multinational exercise, which involves approximately 3,700 personnel from 14 nations, that supports joint combined interoperability among the partner militaries of Ukraine and the United States, as well as Partnership for Peace nations and NATO allies from Sept. 13-28.
