U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Mark Dailey and Department of the Army civilian employee Fernando Torres, both assigned to the Joint Multinational Training Command properly mount and adjust a laser transmitter to a M249 machine gun Nov. 18, 2013, at the Oberdachstetten Local Training Area. Mr. Torres serves as the chief of the Deployable Instrumentation System Europe or DISE program and SFC Dailey serves as the NCOIC. The DISE program is a combination of live instrumentation systems that provides enhanced training and after actions review (AAR) capabilities at home station and deployed training areas. Sgt. 1st Class Dailey and Torres will be embedded with a military police platoon as they utilize DISE during their week long situational training exercise, greatly improving their realistic home-station training experience and enhancing their combat readiness.
