description

Summary

U.S. Army Sgt. Paul Roberts, a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter door gunner with Company B, 7th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, a reserve unit serving with Task Force Phoenix, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, made it his personal mission to provide care packages for Soldiers located in remote areas. By accepting donations from other soldiers and forwarding care packages, he and his comrades collected enough supplies to fill five multi-pack boxes for delivery seen here Aug. 29. Whenever the team is scheduled to go to remote forward operating bases, they load their Chinook with what they have collected and ensure that even soldiers who live with less than others have items to improve their morale. Company B has donated everything from candy and hygiene items to guitars and golf supplies. Roberts is a native of Austin, Texas. (Photo by U.S. Army Sgt. Paul Roberts)
