U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jeremy Brooking and his family, center, break ground with representatives from Operation Finally Home and various organizations during a ground breaking ceremony at Carnes Crossroads community, April 22, 2017, in Summerville, S.C. Brooking was injured during a deployment to Iraq in 2007 and through the efforts of Operation Finally Home and other organizations, was given a mortgage-free house tailored to fit the family’s needs.
