Nicole Hooks at the Semper Fidelis Chapel, National Museum of the Marine Corps, Triangle, Va., Dec. 30, 2015. Raynor enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1993 and was trained as a still combat photographer. She is the first female in Marine Corps history, in her MOS, to achieve the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant, and has served faithfully for 23 years.
