U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Michael Eckert rests after completing the preliminary 2016 High Intensity Tactical Training Competition at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, May 17, 2016. The three-event course tested competitor’s endurance, speed, agility and stamina. As the first place winner, Eckert will be traveling to MCAS Miramar in August to compete against other active-duty U.S. Marines from across the world at the 2016 HITT Athlete Championship.
