U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Europe 20.2, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, participate in a 10-mile retrograde hike during the final exercise of their mountain-warfare training at the Haltdalen Training Facility, Norway, June 26, 2020. The Marines were tested on their abilities to employ small unit defensive tactics in mountainous terrain during the two-week long course. MRF-E conducts various exercises including arctic cold-weather and mountain-warfare training, as well as military-to-military engagements throughout Europe that enhance cooperation among partners and allies.
