The DAWG HAUS or Disaster Avoidance With Good Home Attenuating-Unionization System is a wind-resistant techniques of building. After an outbreak of tornados swept through Alabama in April, Auburn's Integrated Design and Construction students have an opportunity to exchange ideas with FEMA's mitigation team. After recovery measures were suspended late in 2013 due to the severe winter weather; FEMA, The State of Alaska, and the volunteers are back to work to complete the rebuilding and repair to those disaster survivors who are eligible for FEMA individual assistance. U.S. Navy Builder Third Class Stephen Alianell and Equipment Operator Third Class Sawyer Buck, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133, tack 42 foot beams into place on a multipurpose shelter on June 17, 2016 in support of US and Bulgarian Forces at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria. These Seabees are organized under U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
