Summary

U.S. Navy sonar technicians assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8 work aboard a contracted rigid-hull inflatable boat on Lake Victoria off the coast of Entebbe, Uganda, March 24, 2009. The technicians used a variety of sonar devices to map a debris field containing the wreckage of an Ilyushin 76 aircraft, which crashed March 9, 2009. EODMU-8 was part of a search and recovery operation conducted by Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and the government of Uganda.
