Summary
U.S. sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock landing ship USS Green Bay’s (LPD 20) visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) team, return to the Green Bay after conducting a drill with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) after conducting VBSS proficiency training. Green Bay and Rushmore are a part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, are deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
