U.S. Soldiers of 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 501st Aviation Brigade attach a rope to a simulated downed UH-72 Lakota helicopter while conducting vehicle recovery operations during Exercise Combined Resolve VIII at the Hohenfels Training Area, Hohenfels, Germany, June 10, 2017. Exercise Combined Resolve VIII is a multinational exercise designed to train the Army’s Regionally Allocated Forces to the U.S. European Command. Combined Resolve VIII will include more than 3,400 participants from 10 nations.
