He is holding a piece of the Russian Strela crane which is be be installed and moved from its present position on Pressurized Mating Adapter 2 (PMA-2) to PMA-1. STS-101 mission specialist Jeffrey N. Williams (EV1) can be seen in the foreground near PMA-2. An Earth limb forms the background (039-41).
