A Member of the US Air Force ties down Tri-Wall Aerial Delivery Systems (TRIADS) filled with Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs) bound for Afghanistan. US Air Force C-17A Globemaster IIIs delivered HDRs in support of ENDURING FREEDOM from Germany to Afghan refugees who have massed inside the borders of Afghanistan. Eighty-four TRIAD boxes, each measuring 80 inches tall and 48 by 48 inches square, filled with 420 HDRs will be loaded onto a C-17A Globemaster III. In a three way first the C-17A will deliver the first operational TRIAD delivery, it will be its first combat airdrop mission and this is the first of its kind, high altitude airdrop for HDRs
