YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 26, 2016) Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Donisha Brown, from Philadelphia, reunites with her daughter during a homecoming celebration for the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group conducted 53 days of strike group operations in the western Pacific, including the waters south of Japan, the Philippine Sea and the South China Sea, to improve combat readiness, develop cohesion as a strike group and engage its partners in the region. Ronald Reagan is the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier and it provides a combat-ready force to protect and defend the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
