Karina Monroe thanks Harold Berg, Marine Corps veteran who fought during the Guadalcanal Campaign, for his service during the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry’s (DDG 52) port visit to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Guadalcanal Campaign. The 75th commemoration is a tribute to courage, service, and sacrifice of those who fought in the Guadalcanal Campaign of World War II.
