180328-N-PH222-0293 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 28, 2018) Sailors, assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), prepare to disembark Marines, assigned to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during a simulated maritime reaction force visit board search and seizure (MRF VBSS) exercise. Anchorage is under with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
