181029-N-GC129-0055 YOKOSE, Japan (October 29, 2018) Chief Aviation Electronics Technician Eric Setterfield and Chief Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) Joshua Rule, assigned to Navy Beach Unit (NBU) 7, pilot a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) during a demonstration with Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly council members at the Yokose LCAC Facility. Council members were invited to the Yokose facility for an LCAC brief, facility tour, and to observe LCAC operations. NBU 7 serves as the training and readiness command for LCACs, landing craft utilities, and beach party teams forward-deployed in Japan. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
