190523-N-YG415-333 NEW YORK (May 23, 2019) Marines from the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Fleet Week New York and Sailors from USS New York (LPD 21) and USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) are joined by local residents during the Fleet Week 2019 Freedom Run through downtown Manhattan. Fleet Week New York, now in its 31st year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
