190608-N-DX072-1214 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 8, 2019) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Deon Sanders, from New York, signals to an SH-60J Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Hyūga-class helicopter destroyer JS Ise (DDH 182) as it takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during cross deck flight operations. Green Bay is underway conducting routine operations as a part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
