Gonzalez stands watch over disinterred remains at Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy, June 11, 2019. The remains, which are believed to be of unidentified service members from WWII, are being transferred from the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy, to the United States for identification analysis by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
