ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 28, 2019) - Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Libby Pirmann, from Cumming, Georgia, looks up the escape trunk of an engineering space while transporting a simulated personnel casualty on a stretcher during a general quarters drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), as part of the U.K.-led Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Nov. 28, 2019. FOST’s training is designed to prepare all types of navy vessels and auxiliaries for peacetime, peace-support, and war-fighting operations. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
