2-25th Aviation Regiment held a Change of Responsibility

2-25th Aviation Regiment held a Change of Responsibility ceremony on Nov. 7, 2020 at the Alpha Company Hangar on Wheeler Army Airfield for outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Erik Whitman and incomming Command Sgt. Maj. Jose A. Fontanez.
On display was the Diamond Head Bell that originated in Vietnam and were originally given as gifts to pilots that were leaving Vietnam after completing their service and were made from expended 105 mm shell casings. As new members enter the battalion, they ring the bell once to signify their arrival and when a Diamond Head veteran departs the battalion, they ring out two times.
