200213-N-JW440-1037 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 13, 2020) U.S. Coast Guardsmen from Maritime Safety Response Team (MSRT) West fast rope onto the deck of aerial target launch ship (ATLS 9701) from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 21 while conducting helicopter visit, board, search and seizure training operations off the coast of San Diego. MSRT West trained with several squadrons from Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific to board and secure vessels that may be held by terrorists holding hostages.
