(August 21, 2020) - The crew of Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Idaho (SSN 799) observes an assumption of command ceremony at Flasher World War II Memorial in Groton, Conn. August 21, 2020. Cmdr. Nicholas Meyers, Idaho's prospective commanding officer (PCO), will lead a 135-person crew through the initial stages of shipbuilding to include a keel-laying leading to christening and eventual commissioning in 2023.
