Summary
A boom operator assigned to the 28th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron operates a boom with a drouge adapter attachment to provide fuel to U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet's assigned to the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115 during a aerial refueling mission in support of Operation Inherent Resolve over Iraq, May 18, 2018. The probe and drogue method of refueling uses a trailing hose with a basket on the end, allowing pilots to guide the probe onto the aircraft to receive in-flight fuel.
