A ditch is formed after the removal of rock by engineers with the 368th Engineer Battalion, Naval Construction Regiment. The ditch serves as an obstacle for Taliban fighters in the village of Do'ab, near the tip of the Horn of Panjwa'i. “We can deny the enemy any terrain and, in turn, make the area more secure and help the government of Afghanistan support their people,” said 1st Sgt. Jeff Peppin, first sergeant of Company A, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. Peppin's company is responsible for providing security at the two combat outpost's his company is divided between, as well as patrolling the village and engaging with the local villagers in Do'ab.
