A helicopter assigned to the 40th Helicopter Squadron

A helicopter assigned to the 40th Helicopter Squadron supports members of the 341st Security Forces Group as they practice in a launch facility recapture during Global Thunder 19, Oct. 30, 2018, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. U.S. Strategic Command headquarters staff, components, and subordinate units participate in Global Thunder to test readiness and ensure a safe, secure, ready and reliable strategic deterrent force. Large-scale exercises of this nature involve extensive planning and coordination and provide unique training for assigned units and allies so they are ready and prepared to execute orders globally wherever and whenever needed.
