A Landing Craft Utility transport boat enters Mile Hammock Bay to offload Marines from the USS Gunston Hall during as part of an amphibious assault during the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Certification Exercise Feb. 13, 2012. LCUs and Landing Craft Air Cushioned hovercrafts landed at Mile Hammock Bay to offload Marines and their equipment from amphibious assault ships of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group.
