A member of the Peru Special Operations team swims
Summary
A member of the Peru Special Operations team swims through a zig-zagging route across a large pond while dragging his rucksack in an airtight bag behind him during the Fuerzas Comando Aquatics event at Nilo, Colombia, July 28. Each of the teams had to carry a raft to the lake, row across, run about five kilometers with their rucks, swim across a large pond, and then sprint to the pistol marksmanship range. The Fuerzas Comando competition was first established in 2004, has 17 participating nations this year, and continues to build the required capacity to confront common threats that cannot be defeated by traditional military means alone.
