A New York Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III from the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base near Newburgh, N.Y., lands at Stratton Air National Guard Base outside Schenectady, N.Y., as it brings home 30 members of the 109th Airlift Wing who had been deployed to Antarctica on Feb. 24, 2015. The Airmen were in Antarctica supporting Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. More Airmen and LC-130 ski-equipped aircraft will return throughout the week following the the 109th Airlift Wing's 27th year supporting the National Science Foundation.
