A New York Air National Guard LC-130 assigned to the 109th Airlift Wing flies over the New York State Capitol on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 during a flyover conducted by the wing to salute healthcare and essential workers, and first responders during the COVID-10 pandemic. The 109th Airlift Wing, based at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, N.Y. flies the largest planes in the world equipped with skies and able to land on ice or snow in the polar regions. The flyover was conducted as part of the Air Force Salutes series of flyovers held around the country to salute those in the frontline during the pandemic.
