A Sailor assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) signals to the pilot of an SH-60S Sea Hawk assigned to the Island Knights of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, that he is cleared to load supplies during vertical replenishment (VERTREP) July 18. Bonhomme Richard is the flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Saber 2013, a biennial exercise that enhances multilateral collaboration between U.S. and Australian forces for future combined operations, humanitarian assistance and natural disaster response.
