A U.S. Army soldier sprints past the finish line during the last leg of the Republic of Korea 5-kilometer run on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Sept. 27, 2012. Service members and civilians from various contingents participated in the run, which simultaneously commemorated 2,000 hours of safe flight and kicked off the celebration for the Korean Armed Forces Day. The run, as well as the following days celebration, commemorated the day during the Korean War when South Korean forces pushed through the 38th parallel.
