A U.S. Marine advisor with Task Force Southwest meets

A U.S. Marine advisor with Task Force Southwest meets with her counterpart, Col. Hasan Gul, the Afghan National Army 215th Corps G-1, at 1st Brigade, near New Garm Ser, Afghanistan, Sept. 26, 2017. As part of an Expeditionary Advisor Package, the advisor joined her counterpart on a visit to 1st Brigade to allow him to solve any administration issues within the brigade, while she provided assistance as needed. As part of the new U.S. South Asia strategy, Marines are advising down to the brigade- and kandak-levels where necessary to support Afghan National Defense and Security Force operations.
