Afghan National Army Sgt. Ehsanullah from Kunduz province provides security overwatch at the perimeter of a district shura in a remote region of Kandahar province's Khakrez District, April 13, 2011. Ehsanullah and other ANA soldiers helped ensure the safety of elders as the district governor, Haji Abdul Qayum Khan, district chief of police, Mullah Gul and ANA Maj. Mohamed Nabullah met with village leaders to discuss ways to improve quality of life and how to best connect those living in eastern Khakrez to the district resources like schools and clinics.
