AGADIR, Morocco—Lt. Col. John Ward, 123rd Airlift Wing aircraft commander, Kentucky Air National Guard, flies a C-130H Hercules low level flight during the annual African Lion 17 exercise at Agadir, Morocco, April 20, 2017. Various units from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and the Kentucky and Utah Air National Guards will conduct multi-lateral and stability operations training with units from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Morocco. This combined multilateral exercise is designed to improve interoperability and mutual understanding of each nation’s tactics, techniques and procedures while demonstrating the strong bond between the nation’s militaries.
