Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Chris Buscaglio of the 944th Security Forces Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, fires an M4 carbine rifle Aug. 14, 2017, during exercise Patriot Warrior at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. He was among more than 600 Reserve Citizen Airmen and 10,000 soldiers, sailors, Marines and international partners who converged on Wisconsin to support a range of interlinked exercises, including Patriot Warrior, Global Medic, Combat Support Training Exercise, Diamond Saber and a mortuary affairs exercise. Patriot Warrior is Air Force Reserve Command's premier exercise, providing an opportunity for Reserve Citizen Airmen to train with joint and international partners in airlift, aeromedical evacuation and mobility support. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
