The MiG-17 is a Vietnam War era plane who was the primary enemy aircraft engaged in the skies over Vietnam by U.S. aircraft.This year’s air show celebrated MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s 75th anniversaries and featured 40 static displays, 17 aerial performers and a concert.
