Summary
Airmen from the 736th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) man a defensive fighting position July 22 during Talisman Saber 2013 at Williamson Airfield. The 736th SFS is part of the 36th Contingency Response Group (CRG), Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The 36th CRG assumed command and control of the airfield from the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division (Airborne) and turned over command to the Royal Australian Air Force as part of a multiphase combined joint operation. Talisman Saber was designed to utilize a realistic scenario to train U.S. and Australian forces in planning and executing combined and joint military operations on land, air and sea.
