America's First Corps Hero of the Battlefield

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Andrew Perry, a member of the Joint Air Component Coordination Element, was awarded the"Hero of the Battle" for exceptional dedication to mission success at Talisman Saber 17, July 17, 2017 at Enoggera, Australia. The certificate was presented a long with a coin by U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky, commanding officer of I Corps, Perry's sponsor for the award, U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Russell L. Mack, JACCE director and by U.S. Army Command Sgt. Major Walter Tagalicud, command sergeant major, I Corps.
Talisman Saber provides an invaluable opportunity to conduct operations in a combined, joint and interagency environment that will increase both countries' ability to plan and execute contingency responses, from combat missions to humanitarian assistance efforts.
