Summary
An AC-130J Aircraft from U.S. European Command, United States Air Forces in Europe, 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and the 37th Airlift Squadron, lands to pick up firefighting and humanitarian supplies in Trondheim Airport, Norway, August 14, 2010. The supplies are being delivered to Moscow after an official request from the government of Russia to the U.S., and at the request of The Department of State. The Department of Defense directed U.S. European Command to provide valuable firefighting equipment that includes firefighting protective equipment and tools to help Russia combat the ongoing wildfires.
