Summary
An Iraqi child clings to his mother's clothes while Marines speak to his father through an interpreter. Troops regularly carry candy to set Iraqi children at ease during routine vehicle stops. "They treat (Iraqi's) with respect, try to help them out in any way possible. Offer water and food, ask them how their villages are doing, how their people are doing," said Staff Sgt. Keith S. Littreal, a 29-year-old native of Greensborough, N.C. In the combat zone, MP Company provides security for vehicle/personnel recovery teams, supply trucks, and also scans supply routes for IEDs and enemy activity. (Official USMC photo by: Lance Cpl.
