Summary

An M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank with 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, rests on top of a railcar before it is chained down and transported to Fort Pickett, Va., from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 18, 2014. Marines successfully loaded the tanks on the railcars despite the winds, rain and mud. The battalion is heading to Virginia for one month to complete field training. More than 350 Marines and sailors will be taking part in the training as well as a total of 22 tanks and four M88A2 Hercules Recovery Vehicles.
