Armed Forces of Liberia Maj. Geraldine George, center, AFL senior legal officer, is presented her new rank by Maj. Gen. Suraj Alao Abdurrahman, Armed Forces of Liberia command officer in charge, left and U.S. Air Force Maj. Kevin Ingram, a native of Lifle, Ill., legal adviser to the AFL, during a promotion ceremony at Barclay Training Center in Monrovia, Liberia, Feb. 20. George was one of 565 AFL personnel to be promoted during the most recent promotion cycle. She represents the growing opportunities for women in the AFL and currently is the highest ranking female serving in the Liberian military. Ingram is deployed from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash.
