Armed with blank rounds and paint grenades, Pfc. Dwight
Summary
Armed with blank rounds and paint grenades, Pfc. Dwight D. Plowright (right), a Miami native serving as a cavalry scout for Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade and a soldier from the Estonian Scoutspataljon (Single Scouts Infantry Battalion) aim their weapons downrange as they prepare to assault an enemy foxhole July 16 in Paldiski, Estonia. The scouts and paratroopers worked together to achieve mission success in this tactical simulation that culminated into a stress-shoot competition that tested the soldiers’ strength, speed, endurance and marksmanship. Competing teams had opportunities to learn about each other’s weaponry, equipment and squad-level tactics. Approximately 600 paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
