Description: Telephotograph of an area of southwestern Aristarchus Plateau. The plateau was illuminated by a Sun only 15-20 degrees above the horizon at the time this photograph was taken. Although this elevation is still low, a dramatic change in the surface appearance has resulted from the 10-15 degree increase in Sun angle. Image was taken during the Post Rendezvous phase of the Apollo 15 mission. Original film magazine was labeled RR,film type was 3401 (High Speed Black and White),500mm lens with a sun elevation of Medium. Principal Point Latitude is 25.0 N by Longitude 54.5 W with a Camera tilt of vertical.
